It operates through five segments: Sugar, Special Products, CropEnergies, Starch, and Fruit. The company offers sugar, specialty sugar products, and glucose syrup, as well as co products, such as animal feed; ingredients offering benefits comprising dietary fibers, sugar substitutes new sugars, rice starches, barley/rice flours, and vegetables texturates; and frozen and chilled pizza, frozen pasta dishes and snacks, baguette, breadsnacks, and portion packs. It also provides full grade ethanol, neutral alcoholrectified spirits, protein-based food and animal feed, and liquid CO2; native and modified starches, saccharification products, and byproducts; fruit preparation; and fruit juice concentrates, not-from-concentrates juices, fruit wines, and natural flavors and beverage compound. The company sells its products under the Sudzucker, Cucier Krolewski, Saint Louis, Tiense Suiker, Wiener Zucker, Isomalt, Palatinose, galenIQ, Orafti Inulin, Orafti Oligofruktose, Orafti ß-Fit, Remy, Meatless, Alberto, Pizzatainment, Hellma, Van Oordt, AcriProt, BiAgenasol, AgenaBee brands, as well as private labels. It serves food, baby food, animal feed, pharmaceutical, food retailers, out-of-home food service, hotels, restaurants, caterers, oil companies and traders, food and animal feed producers, beverage and cosmetics producers, industrial, paper, textiles, industrial chemicals, and petroleum industries. The company was founded in 1837 and is headquartered in Mannheim, Germany. Südzucker AG is a subsidiary of Süddeutsche Zuckerrübenverwertungs-Genossenschaft eG.
